Frontend Developer โ React, Motion & Design Systems
I build fast, accessible, beautifully animated web interfaces with React, Next.js and TypeScript. From marketing sites to complex dashboards and interactive tools, I turn designs into pixel-perfect, high-performance frontends that feel great to use.
As a design-engineer hybrid, I live between Figma and production code. That means fewer handoffs, tighter visual fidelity, and interfaces where the motion, spacing and micro-interactions are considered โ not bolted on.
How I work
- Understand. I start with the real problem, users and constraints โ not a feature list. A short discovery avoids building the wrong thing.
- Plan. A clear plan: scope, non-goals, the approach, and how we'll verify it works. You always know what's being built and why.
- Build. Small, tested, verifiable increments. Working software early and often, with clean, maintainable code that follows the project's conventions.
- Ship & verify. Real deployment, real testing, honest reporting. I verify behavior end-to-end before calling anything done โ no 'it should work'.

Who I work with
Founders & startups
Building an MVP or first product and need someone who can ship the whole thing quickly, then iterate as you learn.
Small teams
You have a team but need extra capacity or a specialist to own a hard piece and deliver it end-to-end.
Agencies
You need a reliable contractor who communicates clearly, hits scope, and produces code your team can maintain.
Solo operators
You have an idea and a budget but no engineer โ I can take it from concept to a live, working product.
Ways to work together
- Fixed-scope projects โ a defined build with a clear deliverable and timeline
- Contract / part-time โ ongoing capacity for a set number of hours
- Rescue & improvement โ take over, stabilize and extend an existing codebase
- Advisory โ architecture, code review and technical direction
I'm Musharraf Kazi (also known as Kazi Musharraf or MK Knight), a developer based in India working with clients worldwide, remote-first across time zones. Whether you need a one-off build or an ongoing engineering partner, the priority is the same: ship real, working software and report on it honestly.
Frequently asked questions
What frontend stack do you use?
React, Next.js and TypeScript with Tailwind CSS, plus Framer Motion or GSAP for animation and Vitest/Playwright for testing.
Do you do UI/UX design too?
Yes โ I work as a design engineer, handling both interface design and production frontend code, so the result matches the vision.
Can you improve an existing site's performance?
Yes. I optimize Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering, hydration and accessibility on existing React/Next.js apps.
Do you build design systems?
Yes โ reusable component libraries, tokens and documentation so a product stays consistent as it grows.
Are you available for freelance / remote work?
Yes, I take remote frontend contracts and product work. Use the contact page to reach out.
How do you handle animation without hurting performance?
GPU-friendly transforms, reduced-motion support, and 60fps interactions โ animation that enhances usability rather than fighting it.
